Initial administrator setup
The operator must install and configure TinyCMS first. Public sign-up is disabled; bootstrap creates the first administrator only.
Create the account
- Ask the operator for the installation's temporary
SETUP_TOKENthrough a secure channel. - Open
/setupat your CMS address. - Enter the token, name, email, password, and password confirmation.
- Submit Create the administrator.
- Verify the account using the email sent to your address, then sign in.
Use a password with at least 12 characters. If creation succeeds but email sending fails, retry verification through sign-in after the operator fixes email configuration; do not try to recreate the account.
The operator should remove SETUP_TOKEN from the runtime environment and restart after setup. Never put it in frontend configuration. Setup is unavailable once an administrator already exists.
Prepare the workspace
- Configure Languages.
- Define Articles in Content Designer.
- Create users and content permissions.
- Create a test draft and verify review, publication, and delivery.
- Ask the operator to create and validate a full backup.
An account created in Users still needs appropriate content access. Creating a publisher does not grant access to every type.
