Schedules and releases

Administrators, publishers, and managing editors with edit access can arrange future publication. The backend must remain running with job processing configured.

Schedule an entry

  1. Save the entry in the intended language and obtain approval if required.
  2. Open its publication scheduling controls.
  3. Choose publication or withdrawal, then the date and time.
  4. Check the browser timezone and UTC offset before confirming.

Schedules capture an exact revision and workflow state. Later edits, policy changes, revoked access, deleted content, or disabled languages can invalidate them. Cancel and recreate a schedule after reviewing changed content; rescheduling does not refresh its captured revision.

Each entry/language can have one active publication and one active withdrawal. A withdrawal after a pending publication creates a publication window. Rescheduling or canceling that publication cancels its dependent withdrawal; recreate it explicitly.

During daylight-saving overlaps, choose the first or second occurrence. Nonexistent local times are rejected. Stored times are absolute UTC times.

Coordinate a release

  1. Open Releases, select Create release, and give it a name and description.
  2. Open saved content in Content Manager, choose Add to release, and select the intended action and release.
  3. Repeat for the other entries and languages.
  4. Open the release and inspect Release content.
  5. Select Check readiness and resolve all issues.
  6. Select Publish release, or choose a time and confirm Schedule release.

Releases coordinate saved revisions and do not automatically incorporate later edits. All assigned changes must be ready and authorized. Publication applies content changes transactionally; notifications follow separately.

Use Remove to adjust editable membership, Unschedule to resume editing a scheduled release, or Cancel release when available. Refresh after conflicts.

Verify the outcome

Check schedule and release status after the due time. Time passing alone does not prove success. Individual entry jobs catch up when up to 24 hours late; older work expires. Failed and expired jobs need attention.

Manual publication and withdrawal remain possible. A scheduled action does not blindly replace or withdraw a different live revision.
